The plugin was created to appeal to developers that have a hard time making a video stretch at a proper aspect ratio in the page's or a DIV's background.
Vide works with multiple video formats like OGV and WebM, and also supports poster images.
Developers can opt to start the video automatically at page load or only load the poster image, letting the user initiate the playback via a click, gesture, or some other sort of action.
The plugin can mute the video's sound if needed, and also loop a video only for a certain number of repetitions.
Vide also lets developers control the volume level, and the video's background position.
